This is a theraputic techniques that is often used to assist in figuing out what areas of your life is healthy and what areas are stressful and how to readdress boundaries so that these relationships are more healthy and helpful to a person.
take a large blank peice of papers. In the center write your name and circle it. Around that, write names of the people closest to you - immediate family, close personal friends.. that kind of stuff. Put a circle around that. Then maybe things you do, places you go, or people you see every day and circle that. Then maybe people you haven't seen in a while or things you do only once a week or other places and things your associaed with ... whatever... keep going out until you have a level for all the peple and things in your life - that they visually are represented.

Now, next to each word you wrote, make a mark to state if it is a positive, negative, or nuetral relationship with that person, place, or thing.
Now step back and look. Ask youself soe questions: Are their other relationships going on in these mixes between these people and places that don't really involve you? How are the boundaries between each of these levels? Strong? weak? how much positive and negative is being let in through these bounaries?
Now the tough questions.... how can you change boundaries to protech yourself? What culd you cut that would help? How do you get more positives in your life?
