Polymyositis & Dermatomyositis Support Group

I love to bake and have been putting together ideas to start a small at home cake baking business. I would love to give up my job once I have recovered. I would love to give it up now, but of course need the medical insurance.
I do get a lot of rest. In fact I feel sometimes as if I rest too much, but once my daughter goes to work I am here alone and can only talk to the television so many times. I find myself doing busy work that if she was home she would complain about me doing.
I also take a couple of catnaps while sitting down that I do not plan to take, but they are refreshing since I get up before dawn to start work each day. I am Blessed to work at home, but I work a 10 hr day and it can be stressful on a lot of days.
It is great that you are letting your daughters learn to take over some of your activities. That is the best way to learn and it brings about closeness.
Keep smiling and laughing!!! (and semi-running!!)
Life is to be enjoyed and some days though our bodies don't cooperate, our minds can still give us much joy. Blessings, Kim

We laugh together and many times can finish each others statements. She graduated from UCF in May and recently started working at Home Shopping Network and whenever they give out products she brings me something. I am about to enjoy a Sean John bath. She brought home two bottles when I came home from the hospital and I just recently have been able to enjoy it. I have my favorite CD playing, the lights low and will sit in that tub as long as the water is warm. To me there is nothing like a nice bath. Have a great night everyone and don't let the pain take over. I talk to mine and let it know that it is not in control. God is in control and he is working on me. I don't know about tomorrow, but I know about right now and I live in the present.
