Polymyositis & Dermatomyositis Support Group
Polymyositis (PM) is a type of chronic inflammation of the muscles (inflammatory myopathy) related to dermatomyositis and inclusion body myositis. The inflammation is predominantly of the endomysium in polymyositis, whereas dermatomyositis is characterized by primarily perimysial inflammation.
I have not been able to connect on my laptop at home for the past few days. I have a modem for my work, but am not allow a router for my home computer (my employer thinks someone wants to steal their lousy info, what a joke). We had been getting wireless off someone else. I am checking into other options since I have to get a separate internet service for my cake business anyway. My current internet service is included in my rent and doesn't cost me anything additional so setting up another one doesn't excite me. I am now at the library, which is pretty quiet considering the time of day.
I have completed the design for my business card and will be stopping at Kinko's tomorrow after attending the free Food Industry course that is being offered by the Small Business Adm. There is a new law in Florida that allows food to be baked and sold from the home under the Cottage Law as long as the gross income is less than $10,000 per year.
I am feeling really good about finally getting my dream up and going and hope to be selling some cakes for Thanksgiving. My feet have swollen up again, but I think that it is my workchair. I moved my desk into a different room and didn't have the cushions to elevate my legs, so now I have to find a different way to elevate them. I hope that you all are doing good as can be expected and hopefully I will be back online regularly. Until next time I will miss you.

BTW, routers can be tightly secured using MAC addresses, etc., so that your system couldn't readily be hacked. Maybe your employer isn't aware of that.
I decided today to look for another job. I was going to try to hold out until the first of the year, but my company isn't getting any better in the way that they relate to their employees and their computer program is lousy, which in turn causes their customer base to be totally rude and employees are leaving left and right. I have been in the travel industry for 17 years and have never worked for a company like this one. I told them today that my "sorry" tab is just about broke. How can a company expect their employees to repeatedly apologize for something that is the company's fault and not the employee.
I have set my dates to apply for my licenses to start the cake business. That is the bright point in my day. I also just received an invitation to attend a grand opening for the diabetes center that I attend and it is on one of my off days in the evening. They will have entertainment and refreshments and it gives me something fun to look forward to. I am going to have to practice my dance steps. I miss you all.
