Polymyositis (PM) is a type of chronic inflammation of the muscles (inflammatory myopathy) related to dermatomyositis and inclusion body myositis. The inflammation is predominantly of the endomysium in polymyositis, whereas dermatomyositis is characterized by primarily perimysial inflammation.
The antibiotics must have done their magic. I no longer have the metallic taste in my mouth and can now taste food. I wonder if that is why I am always hungry. Before I could barely swallow and didn't have the desire to eat, now I want to eat every 2 hours and the 1/2 piece of fruit and a few nuts for a snack don't cut it. I have lost so much weight that I should be able to eat more.
Last night after my daughter got home from work about midnight she and I shared a simple sandwich and this morning my bg was 71, so it can't be too bad for me, as long as I don't do it often. I am following the 1800 meal plan and still losing too much weight.

So far I am losing weight. I did notice that the night time sweating has cutback and I didn't sweat at all last night and I was told that the sweating was due to the Prednisone. It was so weird because I was only sweating from my head. I felt like I was losing the weight through the sweat.
