Polymyositis (PM) is a type of chronic inflammation of the muscles (inflammatory myopathy) related to dermatomyositis and inclusion body myositis. The inflammation is predominantly of the endomysium in polymyositis, whereas dermatomyositis is characterized by primarily perimysial inflammation.

I started a forum for PM patients. It is limited to PM only, due to the differences in the disorders.

Please feel free to join & post. It's not intended to replace the other websites. I just wanted to share my experiences with other PM patients. I hope to make it a info site for the newly-diagnosed. I will be sharing clothing tips, mobility aids, medicine effects, treatment successes and failures, and anything else that helps us get an understanding about PM.

It is still under construction, so any suggestions will be considered and appreciated.
