Hello, I am so sorry that I haven't been online recently. The little finger and the one next to it on back names are now numb. They no longer tingle, which is probably a good thing, but they aren't allowing me to type much, plus I can barely spell these days. These are the good news that I want to share. I am so weird...haha.

Anyway, my good news is that my PM seems to be in remission...My last 2-3 CPK test has been normal, if there is such a thing as normal with this illness. My neurologist can't sem to believe it. In March before she admitted me to the hospital for testing my CPK was normal and then the last 2 lab test showed normal. I am now dealing with the neuropathy which has gotten really bad. I am feeling pain all the way back up to both thighs, when it was just around my ankles.

The wonderful drug Prednisone has cause both ankles to swell likr huge grapefruits and nothing that I do brings them down, but I am dealing with them. I am tapering my Prednisone 5 mgs every week starting this week. I have to take additional dosages of Lyrica and Neurontin to deal with the pain, but I have to get off the Prednisone and I will appreciate any suggestions on how to handle the additional pain associated with the tapering. The Prednisone is causing my blood glucose to rise too high and I can't have that.

So my good news is the remission and I plan to get the blood glucose down to a normal range each day or at least the majority of my days so that I can have as close to a normal life as possible. I plan to get my swollen ankles down so that I can buy myself some pretty shoes and then I plan to find myself a good Christian man and go dancing. I don't ask fo much. I haven't enjoyed life in a very long time. Since my fingers have gone numb, plus type anything that they choose to type, bangingon the keyboard as if they belong to someone else, I no longer proofread what I type. It takes to long, so I hope there are no errors.
