The pain has gotten so severe over the past few months that I have just about lost it. My daughter doesn't allow me to pity myself, but there are many days that all I want to do is cry and scream. After over a year of pain without any treatment plan working, my new neurologist discovered I had nerve damage. The prednisone caused my glucose levels to increase, which caused the nerve damage, but I have to take the prednisone because of the PM. If not so painful I would have to laugh, Well my rheumy had me to go on leave after finding out that I was actually working and Prudential denied myu short term leave. I pay for this coverage and they stated that my dagnoses does not warrant me being on leave. I read their denial which read as if I have arthritis, I am so sick of people not understanding or knowing anything about this disease. We now have to appeal the denial. My leave was denied, but my health insurance approved IVIG treatments. My neurologist had to prove that all the other treatments have not worked. I don't understand IVIG or know my cost at this time, but I do know that something better has to be done. I am willing to give anything a try at this time. I will appreicate anyone who is currently being treated by IVIG to give me an idea what to expect and how you feel about the treatments.
