Polymyositis (PM) is a type of chronic inflammation of the muscles (inflammatory myopathy) related to dermatomyositis and inclusion body myositis. The inflammation is predominantly of the endomysium in polymyositis, whereas dermatomyositis is characterized by primarily perimysial inflammation.

Since moving to a first floor apartment I have been sleeping a lot better. Of course the people over my head aren't helping, but they don't stop my sleep either. I am finding that by 10pm at night I am ready to call it a night. Some nights I do take Aleve PM or some other brand PM, but even if I don't take anything I am still falling asleep and sleeping the same. Since starting my new job, I don't start my shift until 11am, but still wake up without an alarm clock about 7am. My body knows that I need to check my glucose at that time. Sometimes I will lay back down for another hour. I am so happy to be getting some good sleep.

I am glad to hear you are sleeping well. I wake up no less than four times a night. I always go back to sleep quickly because of bad fatigue. I get warm flashes and scary chest weakness that makes me wake up. I am glad you are doing well. I hope your health will continue in getting better.

I hope that you soon find your peace. I only wake up to go to the restroom and that is if I drink too much before bed. I have had some nights when I haven't waken up until morning. Of course every once in a while I have my 3am wake-up and I think that is talk to God time. I know a few people who wake up at 3am. My daughter has told me that I snore a lot more now and that it is really loud, so now I have to find a natural cure for it. There is always a wrinkle. I find that if I allow myself to just fall asleep whenever my body wants to sleep, I sleep better.

Here is a device that I've seen advertised on TV. Don't know first-hand if it works for snoring, but tho't I'd mention it to you. So glad to hear that you are sleeping better. That's wonderful news!

and good news to hear brenda! I wake up alot throughout the night, tossing and turning. I have some trazadone that i can take

Brenda, i'm so glad that your getting a good night sleep. I also have been sleeping great since my prednisone has been lowered. It make such a big difference. I also wake up around 3:00. Only because my fury little friends(my cats) want to eat and run around the house at that time. I don't mind. Because now I can get back to sleep. I've been making up for lost time. It feels great !!!!
