Good Morning ladies,
I hope everyone is doing wonderful. I am currently struggling with something that comes about every single month. I HATE MY JOB and the thought of having to go in for 8 hours tomorrow is overwhelming. Does this happen to anyone during PMDD time? I can't help but to feel stuck, and I absolutely seem to hate having these massive commitments around my PMDD time. I just want to sit in my pj's watch TV so I can be distracted from my life and all the responsibilities. I also have a final exam on Tuesday that I should really be studying for, but I cannot bring myself to do it (normally I am a straight A student), but I seem to resent the commitment that the school requires around PMDD time as well :(.... I seriously get really close to quitting my job every single month around this time... and normally I really like my job, I just get soooo irritable, and am unsatisfied and bored no matter what I'm doing... and then my period comes and I am chill as they come... does anyone else experience this, specifically tied to your job? And by all means, I am not a 15 year old irresponsible kid, I have a professional career and am further developing my education.
I am sorry about the rant, I just needed to get it out there..... any stories that you can share on how to deal with this would be much appreciated. I am currently taking intramuscular vitamin B12 shots, 5-htp, vitamin D, and a very high grade multivitamins. They help a little but some months are much worse than others.
Big hug out to everyone out there!

Oh my gawd, do I know how you feel....I've had those same thoughts and problems with every single job I've ever had....regardless of how much I loved or hated it. The jobs that went the best for me were those where I had an employer, or manager, who actually understood what PMS is. But I had plenty where that was not the case. Right now I'm self-employed and work from home, which is good in terms of not having to ask someone if I can go lay down or take the day off....on the other hand, I get a really good look at what my productivity actually is...and it's not great. It's rough. My PMDD symptoms usually start about 10 days before my period and when it's really bad, I essentially work part time hours for those ten days....and miss a couple of days completely when my cycle begins. I wish I had news for you about helpful treatments, but I actually joined this forum with the hopes of finding the same thing, myself. From what I've seen, there's been zero advancement in treatment options for the last 15 years or so. Good luck to you...wish I could solve it, but at least know you are certainly not alone.
