How are you doing now? It is very sad that there isnt much help out there for us. We live these very normal lives until 2 weeks before our cycle then finally the day hits where you finally start and its like flusing that crazy women down the toliet and you can get back on track with all the normalcy that life throws at us. Something about that just doesnt seem fair about that

I can definitely relate to this. It is crazy dealing with it. Im 35 and for years i thought i had depression and then realized alot of it was anxiety and crazy fluctuations with mood, especially from ovulation until i start. My behavior was scary because my moods would pull a 180 in just seconds sometimes and i feel bad for my husband or anyone close to me. I knew something had to give because I hated the feeling of not being in control at times. Sometimes i think its even rage and aggression (maybe from repressed feelings) and then it can follow with depression because i get so upset with myself for the way Ive acted and i am ashamed, Its a crazy cycle, that's for sure! I take medication for anxiety but for some reason, during that time before my period it seems like there is not a medicine strong enough for me or atleast i haven,t found it yet! Ive learned to really push exercise and relxation techniques if possible during especially for those 2 wks. I try to push myself to be engaged socially even if its the last thing i want to do. That can be easier said than done though. Its a work in progress, but i realize when you can be with others it helps to put those crazy emotions at bay a lilttle bit. Its really about being honest with oneself and trying to work with what youve got. We all deal with something thats for sure but self-awareness is the first step ive noticed to trying to improve the situation. One day at a time!
