I'm glad I found this group, hope you are all doing well. I've been in a lot of pain mentally, and I've been making a lot of decisions two weeks before my period that I regret each and every one of them, I called off my engagement with the man I loved and now he's married, I've been doing this to every guy I dated, and I didn't know what my problem was. I thought I am bipolar or I never deserve anything good out of this world, once a doctor prescribed Prozak without knowing I have PMDD, She thought what I go through was PMS, long story short it didn't help at all and one night I woke up in the middle of the night with this strong urge of killing myself, luckily I was too scared to do it, so I stoped taking the Prozak and I kept on going through all my symptoms until recently I found out about PMDD, been taking Vitamins but I guess they haven't helped at all and again I broke up with a guy that I really liked for no good reason, I explained to him what my problem was but he said You have to deal with it and act responsibly, when you are done with your drama come talk to me. I have no support, nobody understands what I'm going through, Can you guys suggest me ways to put an end to this misery? Is there hope? I don't know what to do. love you guys.
Hi Jessica! I have the same condition and struggle just like you. Exactly after ovulation my body "gets angry for not getting pregnant" and I become this monster who is not comparable to the person I am most of the month. As soon as period starts I calm down tho. Is that the same with you? As you're describing the worst part of it is the feeling you need to leave, leave everything behind, just as you are describing. I have somehow been able to stick around my Husband, because he is a very patient scientist coming from an actually stable family who understands the human condition. I get mean with him tho this week before period, then feeling ashamed of myself.
I think what can help is awareness of the situation. You already got that. I try to make reminders on the joint calendar to be aware that the bad days are coming. Kinda reminding him/us to ignore my hormonal imbalance. I try to soothe myself with nature walks, bath, massage, might work great for you too. Some suggests having a child solves some of the issues as your hormones change. Also just figured a support group could help. Re vitamins, I recently tried HTP-5, not sure of effect yet.
What vitamins did you try so far? What has helped you?
All the best for you girl! Wishing you easy PMDD days!! ❤
Hi blackclouds! Hope all is well with you! Thank your for your respond. I’m glad you have found ways to manage these horrible PMDD days. You have no idea how much your comment helped me. Before this I was looking for a way to fix myself to stay with someone. But after seeing that your husband accepted you the way you are, I’m hopeful that one day I’ll meet someone who understands me! Now I’ll just focus on my own growth, I tried Magnesium, vitamins B1,6,12, Calcium. Has HTP-5 helped you? Wishing you the best❤️
Y’all, not sure if it’s the high dose Vitamin D3 (did you know it’s actually a hormone?) I recently found out I’m deficient! But I get migraines and rage mood swings and all of course but I tried a Matcha green tea latte and within half an hour my body like... normalized. Even my anxiety disappeared like I haven’t felt in years!
My migraine came back the next day like usual but I tried the drink again to see if it was a coincidence and it WORKED again. Im aware of caffeine headaches, this was not that. That Matcha powder is some some serious shit, I actually spent money recently to prepare for next month. Skip the coffee shop and make it myself.
Just came here and created an account to share that info with y’all. I might copy and paste this for other groups and stuff. Matcha powder.
