I felt like I was robbed. I had to stop trick or treating at age 10. Since my sister was 3 years older and my brother 4 years older, they got those extra years since they got to take me around. I am still upset over that lol. I miss it so much, the dressing up and such. I would love to dress up again but there aren't cute/cool costumes in my size now :(.

Until I got so I couldn't walk so well, I still enjoyed Halloween just as much, but I'd go to parties where, being in costume, I could act as silly as I really am without anybody batting an eye. I love dressup: my mom had a dressup bag for me, and dressing up all by myself was something I loved enormously. I'd run all over the neighborhood dressed up in old evening gowns, all tattered around the edges. My favourite was an old black lace one, faded to a deep rust color. I think I must have been the earliest Goth. ;~> Anyway, as I got older, this perseverence turned into one for costume, and that led to performing arts activities, so I got to play dressup not just on Halloween during the times I was performing. Living in San Francisco for 8 yrs also satisfied this urge in me. I still dressup sometimes for fun, and even my everyday clothes have a bit of a costumy look, I'm told.

Holloween is my favorite holiday. I have fun decorating with scary things. Nobody expects too much from me like on other holidays. Kind of childish, i guess.

butterfly: I'm the older sister :) but with an aspie younger sister I'm hoping to milk it with her as long as humanly possible....in fact she's not a big speaker but I'll beg her to always be little with me and go trick or treating with me and for the most part she's hard to get a response out of but she gives me a hug and this year I'm gonna get another year :) I always get nervous the people around the neighborhood are thinking "WTF" and I always dress up in a cutsey costume, nothing sexy. If I ever dress up in anything else after I do it away from home. I keep those two worlds apart...as weird as it sounds.

Rylee: ! I'm jealous! My aunt once sewed me a witch costume when I was younger but we'd always beg our mom to buy us costumes and if we were too late in the season I got really upset because we'd have the runt of the litter but I still made the best of it. That's really cool you were in preforming arts activities. I'd love to hear more about it!

sadmom: :) too bad you can't come by and 'take my sister and i trick or treating' my parents know im old enough to take us around safely, of course my mom still babies us to make sure we're safe but they wont come along anymore...which i miss

My aspie sister wants to go trick or treating so YEAH BITCHES I'm going along hehe. I feel like the year she doesn't want to go because she feels like we're too old I'll cry my eyes out until I pass out so I'm trying reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally hard to enjoy the moment. Wish me luck. Afterward I'll probably go out to a party with my boyfriend and hooooooooooopefully on Sunday I can watch horror movies with my mom as NOBODY ELSE will watch scary movies with me!

I am NOT watching scary movies...that's for sure. I haven't watched anything approaching a scary movie since Jarassic Park when I was 6.

I'm throwing a party at a friends house and I'm dressing up in a pretty party dress with a petty coat, stockings and mary janes! I'm exited!

My boyfriend and I are planning on having a scary/Halloween movie night. Nothing too scary as he knows I'd call and wake him up if I get nightmares again :). We're gonna pig out on candy I bought too so that'll be fun. Gonna make dirt cups and mummy hot dogs :).
