I think part of my peter pan syndrome is that people still treat me like a little kid in some ways. Such as, when my dad's heart catherization to open artries failed, I was the last one to be told. Everyone in my family got a phone call, but my mom waited until I was with her to tell me. Its always been like that. I am usually the last to know serious stuff (or I am the first to know as sometimes I find somethings out about others that they want kept a secret....not sure how I do that).

No seriously...I understand what you mean. I always feel like I'm out on the joke...and when it comes to serious stuff, the people who know I have "Peter Pan Syndrome" (or at least understand it) have that extra pause in their speech, like I'm about to explode because they need to tell me something bad.
