Hello I am 48 y/o and receently been told I/m suffering from perimenopause. This has been a living HELL to say the least. I am so very depressed and I am tired always. So aggravated with myself for not being able to beat this. Anyone else feeling this.

Yes I can totally understand how you are feeling. I'm 48 and suffering the same way you are. I'm a single mom and it's so scary and frustrating being literally alone and going through this. I'm also have a super light period after skipping one last month. Your so not alone :)

I am also a single Mom, 46 yrs old..i was never informed that these things happen to a woman, only that you lose your period, nothing else, so I've gone for many months wondering why i feel stiff at my joints, oh, look at this, now i have an extreme amount of gas, so i changed my diet to no avail, still very gassy, then hair started coming out in clumps in the shower, mood swings, sore breasts, all day long hot flashes, and now have started Night sweats, where i literally wake up in a puddle of my own sweat, and i have a fan pointed at me all day and all night to no avail, my period stopped over a year ago, and i thought, OH YAY, i went through menopause, now I'm done! Nooooo... my very most recent symptom, on top of all the others, is this feeling inside any random part of my body like I'm being shocked with some electrical wire, it will happen several times repeatedly in the same location, So, I yell, OWW, OWW, OWW, OWW... then it will subside, that has happened a few times now.. and i had no idea that all these things are related until i began googling, i don't have a doctor, that's too fancy for my budget, no insurance, so I'm heading to my local health department this Tuesday to see what they do to help me because also extremely fatigued, and there's no option for fatigue when you're a Single Mom.
