This is my 5th day with this annoying headache. Anyone else have problems with headaches and have any suggestions. I have taken BC, Tylenol, Excedrin, etc. Nothing helps!
Not gone through the change myself yet, but I am limiting caffine because I feel worse with it & I understand woman do have to give up caffinated coffee during the change. Giving it up suddenly caused me headaches in the past.
I just trying to clear up a month of headaches, that rather frightened me when they happened. I limited my computer time that seemed to help, now am going to get my eyes tested. I posted a link about dry eyes and eye strain in menapause......at no time did I ever think it was my eyes that were sore causing headaches.
I wasn't doing anything that was not my normal routine,
Then I limited my computer time because of the headache, started being a little more consistent about wearing my glasses and the headache goes down...it might have left but after living with it first a month I am too paranoid to declare victory yet.
My eyes are still stinging a little. Its strange those things you realize after they are gone, but didn't realize while they were happening....like you take an aspirin and suddenly realize how much your muscles had been hurting now that its not hurting after the aspirin. Same with my eyes, now I notice they are stinging after minimizing my time on the computer...which is DIFFICULT for me to do and being more conscientious about wearing my glasses...geeze my eyes are sting how did I not realize it?
Maybe will get on of the magnifying glasses one can put over computer monitor & a cold soothing pack one can store in freezer for over eyes. This peri menapause thing is just an on-off switch between young & old. Its not just periods stopping.
Is your headache any particular place in your head? I find that I have a head ache starting around the temple area on the right hand side of my head and goes to the top of my right ear. It's a very specific area. It gets worse the closer I get to my period. Curious.
One of the first symptoms I had were migraine headaches. Changing my diet keeps them away, although high stress can bring one on.
Hang in there!
