Do you ladies think this bacteria scare in tomatoes is real. I do not see the price of tomatoes going down. Though I am still afraid to eat them? What do you think?
Fortunately, a lady at work gave me some.....her husband grows them......
Plus, also heard that the ones on a vine were OK, so bought those on a vine at Publix....
Asked a guy at work what he thought (he raises exotic chickens and sales them for a fortune, but they are gorgeous)....and he said it sounded like some of the fertilizers that were used on the tomatoes came from chickens or something that had the bacteria.....
Anyway, the bottom line is, we import a lot of things that have no kind of government control, and farmers do use manure to fertilize....
One guy in Florida who supplies supposedly most of the USA was really hurting.....this just about put him out of business, ne said on the news.......
I seriously want to start planting some veggies.....now that the huge tree is gone on that side of the house, might try to 'terrace' the slop that it was on now that there will be some sunlight over there......
