This is for the people that are working towards peace, that love yoga, meditation, clearing their mind, being ok with being different, that need a reminder that ur imperfect but perfect in every way!
What do we mean by this and everyone's opinion is welcome, we would like to stay positive but you may speak freely!
Ok I think it means that If you start thinking negative you have a choice to notice...stop...and turn it to a positive.
I read once that many people have two buckets in their head (figuratively speaking of course) and one is positive thoughts and one is negative thoughts, and nine times out of ten Our negative thought are overflowing , what needs to happen is we need to learn to dump that out and fill up the positive thought bucket, because when we think positive everything else follows in a positive manner.
Yes, I've realized that although I may not be able to control every thought that comes into my mind, I can Choose what to do with it - entertain it or banish it.
Same with feelings. They change. We can feed them & let them rule us, or we can challenge their validity.
When some thoughts come to mind that make me feel sad or angry , I try to acknowledge them. I may allow them a time limit because occasionally I need to explore where they are coming from, why. When I've had enough & not making any progress, I tell them "time's up" be gone, and focus on something more nourishing.
Isn't it wonderful that we can learn & grow?
Sometimes we need to acknowledge negative thoughts because weighing the pros and cons are essential to maintaining a balanced, intelligent mind. Sometimes the negative is the reality, the truth of a situation. But I agree, when negative thoughts overflow, it's time to create positive thoughts too. Say "OK, this is the problem. What can I DO to fix it?" and then begin working on something that might be a solution.
All I know is without love, there is no peace, only a tangled, twisted web of turmoil, so we've got to find love in one form or another, something we love in our lives, every day.
