Daughter estranged

My daughter is 22 in July and I haven't seen her for over 2 years... before the it was only when she wanted something and always on her agenda. She is angry and resentful that her younger brother is severely autistic and rather than be appreciated that I take all the burden of his care I'm resented and hated for it ...I juat can't win. Ahe told my younger daughter that if she has a child she will tell me but not allow me to see it. To me that's pure spite

I am very sorry to hear you are going through this, I hope she will realize and appreciate all that you did for her for the last 20 years. Unfortunately with some communication, in the ideal world whatever caused the estrangement could have been discussed, figure out the root of the issues and work together to come up with a solution. Unfortunately, it appears the person that choose to leave does not give the people they are leaving behind much of an explanation. Maybe they are doing it because they know it was cause pain for those who they are leaving behind. It is difficult for me to wrap my head around the possibilty of just up and leaving my family without a word of good bye and/or explanation. It doesn't make sense.
I guess the person that leaves, thinks somehow it is easier to walk away then to try to deal with the problem and try to come up with a solution that everyone can work with.
All I can say, to those who have been estranged, it must be difficult to not blame yourself, however, you were not given the opportunity to try to solve anything prior to the person leaving which is not your fault. Please don't blame yourself or let guilt let get in your way of living your life.
