Where is everybody?

It's been little over two years and I am still having the hardest time. I finally decided to join a group, for support. I was hoping this one would help but I guess no one posts anymore...?

I'm here, I just joined. My son who just turned 19, in January, been in jail since Oct at 18. I'm been broken and sad for him and all those who are locked up. Not only are they locked up, we as family members are locked up too. My heart is broken for him, because he could do a long time sentence for his crime. When you feel alone, embarrass and so much more feeling go on in your mind - we are crying out for help. I don't know where you live, but I'm in Memphis and I would like to start a support group here. You are not alone and we need to stay prayful for our children and loved ones. Let us help each other for strength because I am so weak and hurting right now.

Hello love, I am sorry I have not been here. I finally after a year and a half I was able to go visit my son. Heart swell. You see I do not live in the same state as he does. More pain to my heart. A problem I will be remeding hopefully this year. I really do appreciate your words of heartache and encouragement. It really did/does help me, knowing that other moms are, unfortunately, going through the same type of thing. Yes through prayer, I do believe it. I will pray for you and your strength to remain strong. I'm out here in San Diego my baby is in Colorado. He's just a good kid that did a stupid thing. I am though now starting to maybe see some kind of brightness at the other end of the tunnel. I will try to visit this site at least once a week. I hope you are sleeping well.

Both or your families are in my prayers. I'm just at the beginning stages of all of this. My son has been on the run for over 3 weeks now. The longer he stays on the run the worst he's making it on himself. I'm still trying to deal with the fact that my son has chosen this lifestyle. Of being in a gang :( I feel defeated most days, I'm confused, I'm sad, depressed, angry, scared tired because I can't sleep and this is all affecting my husband and my 3 yo daughter. I'm in Azusa, CA but we plan on relocating some time next year to San Diego. I might not be able to give any advice but I'm here to talk and listen to anyone! I too, am searching for support. I did find another website "Mother's of Incarcerated Son's". You have to fill out a little questioner and then it takes a couple days for them to accept you. But there seems to be a lot more activity on that online support group.

My brother is out now but I'm still looking for support since people are judgmental. People I have known for years are shunning him and I feel that I have to take sides.

Maybe he would be happy to answer some questions for people too; when he was incarcerated, I had a lot of questions and no one to ask.
