Who has got their baby a flu shot

Just wondering who has had a flu shot given to their baby. Aubrey is due to get one next week and wanting to know if any one has had any bad experience. so far she has done well with all the other shots she is to get but would love some feed back. Thanks.

we didn't get our DD one, I can't remember if her pediatrician said she was too old or too young for it at the time, but he said it wasn't necessary for her this winter... sorry I'm not much help.

Yes I just had my son get his. They get it in two doses a month apart. He just got his second shot a week ago. He didn't have any reaction to it at all. In fact he didn't even cry either times he got the shot which was REALLY nice!! :D

I got one, myself, 2 weeks ago, and I am sicker than I have ever been right now. Not sure if that helps, but, it def. did not work for me...

I don't think babies under 6 months are supposed to get it--but double check on that.

Addison has had the first part and is due for the second in about a week. She did fine and has been well since.

They reccomend babies over 6 months of age to 18. Both my kids got the shot with no reactions. Bailey needed to get two, one and then another a month later. I am glad I did it.

My daughter is due to get hers in 2 weeks. I know they have to be 6 mos old....I guess we'll see :)

Nathan just got his last week..He's just over 6 months.. Didn't even cry and no reactions.. Much better than the other shots he's recieved!!

All 3 of my kids had thiers and they did fine..Landon was a little fussy for about a day but he also had others shots too.

You can have a flu shot for a 6 month old or older in my state. So as soon as my twins were 6 months they got a shot. The after affect was a mild cold.

They have had one every year - they are 4.5 - they go to pre-school and the worst they get is a chest caugh and runny nose. No fevers.

I recommend the adults in your house get one as well...good luck...

Ahh Tylenol or Motrin before and after the shot to ease the pain...and dont forget you can tag team the drugs...Tylenol then an hour later Motrin etc...

Thanks Aubrey is 10 months and will be getting her Flu shot today. I hate for her to have her shots do to reactions but I know the flu can be worse. I thank you all again for you in put.

we got our little guy one but they broke it up into 2 doses. 1 shot and then 30 days later the 2nd shot. he didn't have any adverse reactions as it's not a live virus in the shot.
