Aubrey is now 7 months old but as I think back I remember that her first word was MAMA. She now says many such as HI, PAPA, DADA, BABA, NONO. Just wondering what was some of your babies first words?

It throws me through a loop every time I see your daughter's name. My name is Aubrey too. Aubrey Dawn.

Both my girls' first words were DaDa. My doc said it was developmental and not personal. It was simply easier for their little mouths to say DaDa before MaMa.

However, their first purposeful, pointed word was MaMa. My oldest was crawling across the floor toward me at 8 months as I was making her bottle saying, "MaMa MaMa MaMa." Boy that felt good.

my son is only 3mos and hasnt said anything yet except baby talk but his dad swears that when Im not there and hes crying it sounds like hes calling mom :P lol

My son does that too. I think it is when his mouth hits the mattress as he is crying. Ya know, Maaamumaaaaamumaaaaaa.

I know I'm silly. I got 6 hours of sleep last night and don't know what to do with myself!

My first word was Bugger! LOL It was what my uncle used to say to me.
