Parenting Newborns & Infants (0-1) Support Group
Feeding your infant and ensuring they are getting enough nutrition is one of the most important aspects of parenting during that first year. This community is dedicated to those who are nurturing a baby, whether breastfed or formula-fed.
If your baby allows a more gradual change, start out by putting some milk into solids to test out allergies first. Make a creamy broccoli soup or use it as the base for baby rice (or whatever else you'd like to try). Then, start to switch out bottles or feeds with regular milk.
Just keep whole cow's milk intake around 16-24 oz a day. As long as your child is getting three meals of solids and two snacks a day, your little one should be getting enough nutrition (this will vary between children, but its a good place to start before you figure out your child's new diet).
As for introducing water or juice, just be persistent about it and offer it once or twice a day. My dd never liked either, but she did start drinking full bottles of it after about a week of me leaving it in her hands.
