Parenting Newborns & Infants (0-1) Support Group
Feeding your infant and ensuring they are getting enough nutrition is one of the most important aspects of parenting during that first year. This community is dedicated to those who are nurturing a baby, whether breastfed or formula-fed.
If you're asking an opinion health-wise if it's ok. I think it's totally ok. My dd was EBF until she was 4m old. We started her on veggies but she hated it so she got cereal at about 4m old. I never gave it to her in a bottle because it's not recommended out of a bottle. HOWEVER, I know a ton of mom's that do and as long as it's incredibly thin I think it would be fine.
It's a delicate situation because, though I do believe that babies will eat when they are hungry, EBF babies really prefer the breast.
My dd would go all day w/o eating because she wanted the breast. It's very common. So, just weigh if it's someething you want to do or not, if you think it's in his best interest or not.
But if you do, he'll be fine.
Way way way back in the day they added cereal to bottles and fed babies..even sold special bottles for it but times have changed.
It's ok to do whatever U feel is right..Ur baby Ur choice:) Good Luck
