Nuvaring anybody?

I was on the depo shot before ttc and getting pregnant and loved it. I have been on it since giving birth and not loving it so much, breakthrough bleeding and breakouts (didn't happen last time). So the dr was kinda pushing nuvaring at my postpartum appt and I was going to keep on the depo like before. Now I am thinking about trying it.I had a friend that used it and liked it. Anyone use this, like or dislike. What about when you are intimate? THanks!!

A friend of mine told me his girlfriend used it and he hated it. He said while getting intimate it was like a game of ring toss and in the end you had to look for it just to make sure it was still there and he didn't take it with him. I don't know how much truth is to that as I've never used it but just something to think of...
Have you thought about the IUD I've heard many good remarks about that.

My dear son was conceived courtesy of the Nuva Ring.
I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who doesn't want to get pregnant, lol.

I know at least 10 people who have conceived while using Nuvaring. The effectiveness of it just isn't trustworthy. It used to be 99.7% effective, now its 92%- who knows if that number will drop over the years.

I use Implanon- its a small flexible rod that they put into your arm. There are no intimacy issues and you don't have to worry about it at all for 3-5 years. If you are looking to conceive again, you can become pregnant the day that it is taken out.

I have no experience with nuvaring, but aftr having my son i got mirena inserted and love it! it was either that or the bc pill that you can take while breastfeeding. plus it's supposed to be just as effective as getting your tubes tied. it's success rate is the highest of any other birth control. it lasts 5 years but you can get it taken out before then if and when you want another. i want another one in a few years so mine won't b in the full time. anyways, just wanted to give you my experience with that:) but sorry i don't know about nuvaring, except that i considered it before.
