I started DD right at 6 months with solids; first rice cereal, then veggies, then fruits. The first week, DD would open her mouth and try eating. She would spit almost everything out which I know is normal when they are learning to eat. But now she just has plain refused to eat...anything. She whines and cries as soon as I put that bib on. She won't open her mouth for anything. At first, I thought it was because she didn't like that particular food that day, but now I've given her repeats of food she opened her mouth for before like apples and oatmeal. I've variations of food like oatmeal and apples, cereal and pears, oatmeal and squash, etc. and no luck. I've been trying every night about 6:30 and then I put her down for the night at 8:00. At first I would nurse her a little right when we got home from work after picking her up from daycare at about 6:15. I've also tried skipping the nursing and gone straight to food. Is it maybe worth trying in the morning rather than nighttime? Or is she just not ready? She seemed interested at first, but now, nothing. Anyone have this problem? She'll be 7 months on January 8th. She is sitting up by herself and can definitely hold a spoon. She watches us eat and seems interested. Just not sure what's going on.
