Now that my 7 mth old son is sleeping through the night (horray!) we have a new problem. For the last week, he has been waking up w/ wet pjs on a wet bed! Some mornings, he is dry but this will be my 3rd morning this week to change all the linens. Help! Is there a diaper out there that will not leak that I don't know about. Right now we are using Pampers Ultra Dry and I was curious to know if a brand out there really works or do I need to wake up (and risk waking him up) in the middle of the night to start changing him. I certainly don't want him sleeping on wet linens!

I had some friends who had that issue with their kids and they went up a size. When they did that, it solved the problem.

We did the same and it solved the problem but there are overnight diapers out there. Good Luck.

Hey Shannon! Good to see you here. We had the same exact problem a while back and again recently. The first time I switched to Pampers Baby dry at night in his regular size 3 and that held. More recently I went up to size 4 Pampers Extra Protection and that has done the trick for the most part. I also found these diaper extender pads at TRU that seemed to work, but using a bigger diaper is just simpler.

We went up a size and switched to Baby Dry's and so far so good!! Now if we could just end the battle with the ever-present diaper rash, we'd be golden :)

Like some of the other girls have said, I like the pampers baby dry's. They seem to hold for my son for the entire night.

We use Huggies...I forget the exact kind (sensitive something-or-other) and we have no problems with them overnight...

This is my 3rd son and for the third time around i am loving Huggies.
My son was just getting too big for his size 2 and we now have him in size 3 and he can last from 9pm-8am with three or four feedings during that time NO PROBLEM! The diaper is heavy though! LOL

Gosh, I guess we must just be lucky that we never ever have had this issue! I do have to say, when my daughter started sleeping thorugh the night I bought a box of the Pampers overnight diapers -- in my opinion they are identical to Cruisters or Swaddlers...

Pampers Baby Dry haven't leaked even once and I used to have the same problem.

One important thing that nobody may have told you is to make sure your boy's penis is pointing DOWN when you do up the diaper. A bigger diaper may help, but if his penis is pointing up when you do it up, it can still leak, as the waistband should not be to snug or it may be painful.

Thanks you guys for all the responses! I changed to size 4 (same brand) several nights ago and so far, so good. Also, thanks for the tip about pointing his privates down - didn't think about that one but it makes perfect sense - you guys are great!

we use the Target brand diaper, up and up, and they are the best thing ever!!! by far the best diaper ever!!! and they are cheaper than all the rest. good luck!
