Maybe she has a milk allergy. I would talk to your doctor about that possibility. Maybe you could try Soy formula. Let us know what happens.

My little one is on it too. No problems though. However he did have bouts of crying like you describe and it ended up being Gerd. His crying typically happened shortly after a feed.

It wouldn't be a milk allergy, my little guy has that too..The hypo-allergenic version, has no lactose or milk protein..

Do you still think it is gas pains?? Ovol works great for that..Nathan had terrible gas pains after his surgery and the ovol made a huge difference..

What kind of bottles do you use? You could try using Playtex vent air...or Dr Brown. Your little one might be just swallowing a lot of air when he eats. Narrower nipples will give him a better latch than the wider ones will since his mouth is so little still.

my son had bad gas pains and some constipation, We use similac our doc says it is less constipating than Enfamil, I use similac sensitive which has helped. We also give him gripe water or mylicon which has been a big help.

2 months is about the age that reflux starts, and they act just like that. I would try having your baby sleep propped up (like in a bouncy chair, or in a boppy if you have one). Also, like some one mentioned before, try soy. My first daughter could not handle milk at all and we switched her to soy, and she did much better. Good luck.

Our baby has been on hypoallergenic formula since he was 2 weeks old, and also was diagnosed with GERD - which could also be cauing your baby's colic. But no matter what, with a colicy baby, even if you give the baby meds for the GERD, nothing says you won't have the bouts of screaming every day until the baby passes 3 -4 months old.
I don't want to make you feel bad or down but our baby used to scream every single night from 5-9pm, no matter what we did. We just did our best to sooth him. We were lucky enough to have help from my Mother - which helped keep our sanity - since he barely slept and we had to feed him every hour and half for the first 2 months. So we were all running on no sleep and constant round the clock with the baby. There were times where he would just scream at the top of his lungs for hours and there was no real reason for it.
Also, if you think your baby is having gas issues, look into the type of bottles you are using. We started out using Playtex Drop Ins which were HORRIBLE - it was like the baby was sucking air and it gave him such terrible gas pains! Once we switched to Ventaire, it was like magic. We are now using Dr. Brown's - they are supposed to be the best for gas and colic.
Don't worry - just have the baby checked out and you do what you can. Try to get some help if you can! You're baby is going to be just fine. I hope the baby feels better and hang in there! This will pass!

We have also been using this formula, for us it helped with some of the crying but our daughter still has evenings when she is very fussy, We use mylicon for gas which does help at times. I've had no issues with diarrhea. The little bit of diaper rash we've seen is usually resolved with some desitin cream. I hope you've had some luck and your baby is feeling better.

I would recommend reading "Colic Solved" -a book about infant acid reflux. In it, there is a really good chapter about milk allergy and formulas. If your daughter has a milk allergy, she may need the super hypoallergenic forumal were the strings of protein are broken down. If this is the case, soy will most likely not work because 50% of babies with milk allergy or intolerance have an intolerance to soy.

it could be reflex (my kids are on zantac), gas (give mylicone) or allergy to milk (use soy formula).
