Parenting Newborns & Infants (0-1) Support Group
Feeding your infant and ensuring they are getting enough nutrition is one of the most important aspects of parenting during that first year. This community is dedicated to those who are nurturing a baby, whether breastfed or formula-fed.
we used this one with my stepdaughter and absolutely loved it, its portable but strong and comes in a ton of different colors. great if you don't want a huge one and you can use it at restaurants vs those dirty ones they give you.

A bebepod works well in the comfort of home. Its not only a great place to feed a baby, but it also helps a baby learn how to sit up on his/her own. It should not be placed on elevated surfaces, so your baby will have to be on the floor with it. I've found that its the easiest to clean of all of my chairs and the tray is within the baby's reach. I prefer this over the Bumbo, which is a similar seat- the Bumbo has had problems with children falling out of them and does not have the snap in toy to keep a child entertained.

For a baby that is already sitting up on their own, this one is a nice booster. It snaps into regular chairs, but lacks the shape to completely support a child who is just learning how to sit. It has a toy tray that snaps on top of the feeding tray and gives a baby a lot to play with while waiting for food to be prepared.

A lot of the stand alone high chairs are very much alike. Here are some features you will want a high chair to have.
* A tilt back adjustment. Your baby's neck and back support requirements will change as they grow. You'll want at least three different settings with this.
* Height adjustment, so you can feed your baby at any location- sofa, computer chair, dining room table, etc.
* Compact size. High chairs take up a lot of room. Something that folds away easily and to a convenient size. I made this mistake with my high chair. Even though the label said that it folds away, it is still bulky and not that much smaller than its unfolded form.
* A tray that has two cup holders, one for a bottle and one for a cup of solid foods. Its so much easier to not worry about the bottle or food sliding around! Also make sure that the tray will be within the baby's reach.
* Wheels. The high chair will most likely get moved around more than you expect.
* Check out how the tray clips onto the chair. The high chair I have is designed so that a baby can't slip fingers into the recesses and get a finger caught while snapping the tray into place.
* Easily washable. High chairs are bound to get messy. Try to avoid one with cracks and crevices that food can get stuck into. The seat should either be easy to wipe down or washer safe. The straps should be able to be removed from the seat- they can either be soaked in the sink or thrown into the dishwasher. Even some trays are dishwasher safe.
* Comfort. Make sure the seat has a nice amount of padding.
I hope this helps!
