Feeding your infant and ensuring they are getting enough nutrition is one of the most important aspects of parenting during that first year. This community is dedicated to those who are nurturing a baby, whether breastfed or formula-fed.
I'm waving the white flag, throwing in the towel, trumpeting the bugle...
Ellorie has won. Instead of terrible nights of crying, twenty minute spurts of sleep, and restlessness, she can join me in "sleep".
I would think something was medically wrong causing her inability to sleep, but once she's out of that crib and inches from me in my bed, she can sleep for twelve hours straight.
I suppose I could:
1. Sculpt a body double to lay beside her in the crib.
2. Get in the crib myself. I'm small, but not that small. I'm pretty sure that would make for more discomfort than if she sleeps with me.
3. Dress Milton or Buster (our dogs) and put them in the crib beside her. But they snore and have terrible gas.
4. Just give up and let her win. Doh!
Though I will always start her off at night in the crib, never in the bed with me. I am just hoping one day she will forget that she's there and accidentally sleep through the night.
Oh, she may have won this battle, but the war has yet to be won! Just wait until she's a teenage and wants to do things. Muwhahahhahaa.

Sonic, my older daughter was that way...the non-cuddly one...she still is, really. So I sort of just went by the precedent she set. Who would have thunk I'd get a needy cuddler?
I'm learning that we do what we can to get through these first months...get through quasi-sanely, of course...
