my baby is 5 weeks old and has been having tummy problems, with alot of spit up, i need some advice on what to use, i have tried gas drops, but they dont seem to be helping, he just started spitting up in the last week to 2 weeks, i dont know what to do to help him. he cries and cries and it bothers me to see him in pain. this is my first baby. he is on formula.
If his crying is at the same time every day and not really related to eating, it could be colic. Nothing really helps that.
I took my son to the MD at 4 weeks and he was diagnosed with both.

My preemie twins both had acid reflux which is the worst. I am so sorry you and your baby have had to go through this. Our pediatrician prescribed all different kinds of medications that just didn't seem to work.
Finally a friend told me about taking them to a chiropractor. That seemed a little odd to me, but she swore by it that it works. I called a local chiropractor and was told that it is very common for them to see babies with colic/acid reflux.
My twins were five months old at the time and I was desperate to try anything, especially if it meant I wouldn't have to keep pumping them full of medicine that didn't seem to work. I took them in and after one visit, my son was 100% better. He started sleeping through the night, wouldn't fuss or spit up after eating, and I could just tell he felt so much better.
It took 3 visits for my daughter to get completely better, but there was a big improvement for her after every visit. The chiropractor told me that 9 times out of 10, it only takes one visit, but sometimes it takes 2 or 3 like it did for my daughter.
