someone once recommended that baby proofing the little ones room and then using a baby gate to keep them in there with toys, safe, was a great way to keep them occupied without them feeling tied down or trapped like in a playpen.

a freind of my swears by it and she started her kids off as soon as they could stand and her 1 year old will actually jump himself to sleep in it I just started my 7 month old twins on this and theylove it

I use a variety of things
1. High chair with toys (if I'm cleaning in kitchen)
2. Seat with strap and toys
3. Excersaucer (immobile)

I think I want a Jumperoo for myself. (and I mean for MYSELF, not for my little one).
Where have I been? I've never even seen one of those before. How fantastic! I think we'll have to get one.

I love it my daughter bounces from the time she gets in til the time she gets out. my son likes to turn in it because the seat turns. I have the rainforest by fisher price. Everytime the kids bounce it lights up and plays music. LOVE IT

Ok, I ordered a tiny steps 2 in 1 walker. It can be mobile or stationary and has toys, lights, music, and bounces too. When she gets older, she can walk behind it and push it. I hope I don't regret not getting the jumperoo instead. I'll let you know how it goes. Thank you all for your help! :)

the walker will last you longer as my friend says her son who is now 12 months is not so keen on being stuck in a jumperoo. My son who is 8 months has had a jumperoo since he was 4 months and oh my god it has been a life saver!!! he has been known to spend nearly an hour in it and is nice and tired and sleepy after. So for any mummies of younger babies GET ONE!! you can go to the toilet in peace and everything!!!!!!

The Jumperoo just came in today. I put it together this evening, so we'll see how it goes with my little one. It looks so high, even on the smallest setting. I wonder if her feet will even touch the ground? We'll see if she likes it. She's hard to please, so if she likes it, I guess it's a winner.

I put a thin box under it for my daughter but my son cam reach on the first setting i figured they would both reach in another week my daughter fell asleep in it yesterday. she wore herself out!!!! good luck

Well, she likes it and she is tall enough for the lowest setting. She thinks the bouncing is just fab, but hates the music on it. The tiger roar scares her, so I just leave the music off.
I do know my little one and all of these stories about falling asleep in the bouncer...not gonna be her. She has her fun and then back to mommy to be carried. I need to just velcro her to my body and be done with it, really.
