All three of my nephews and Harley have acid reflux. Their doctors just prescribed them medicene and changed their formula to Nutramagen (sp). It helped some but not much.

For the most part they have "outgrown" it. One of my nephews is still on meds and a special diet.

I know that having apple juice settled their tummies, when they were old enough.

I hope your little one keeps getting better and that this isn't an ongoing thing for her. Poor little sweetie.

My oldest son had a refulx problem, called GERD, when he was a baby. We had put him on Zantac (liquid form) and he still has issues to this day. He is on medicaiton, only when it flares up, just over the counter medicine, but rice cereal in his bottel was my best friend! It really lowered the amount of spitup that he produced. good luck!!!

The doctor prescribed my son Zantac also couple weeks ago. Don't really see a change yet. I am wondering if that is his problem. Hope things get better for you.

Madelyn has acid reflux since she was only a few weeks old I used to keep her slepping in her seat till she was about 2 1/2 to 3 months old then i put a pillow under her mattress in her crib so that she sleeps on a angle and she does great with it . She's actually gotten better . The dr wouldn't put her on anything he thought she would grow out of it.

My baby has had reflux since she was about 3 weeks old (she's 13 weeks now). She was on Zantac and another medicine called Bethanechol. The zantac worked for a while, but now she's on Prevacid which seems to be working. We also keep her mattress at an angle. I use Similac RS (rice starch)and it seems to help a bit. I have started put a bit of rice cereal in her evening bottle and it is helping her not spit up at night.
