im baby sitting a 9mos old baby girl. ive been baby sitting her this whole week ..her mom and my mom's bf's neice. i never let her take naps on beds just because of things like this...i always put comforters on the floor. when her mom brought her over today she was already slleeping and her mom put her on my bed and i didnt wanna wake her up so i left her on my bed and put alot of pillows next to her and i was checking up on her frequently.

i checked on her and then i went back to the living room and two minutes later i heard BOOM and her screeching cry...my heart dropped and i ran to my room and she was on the floor on her back crying. i picked her up and started rocking her and then i put her on my lap and was rubbing her head and put her pacifer in her mouth and she stopped crying and started smiling and playing with her like usual.

she went to sleep and i didnt leave her alone this time....i stayed in my room on my bed next to her....she just woke up and is now plaing with the remote control. to be honest i dont care if shes playing with the remote or anything cuz im just glad shes ok.

what signs should i look for if anything is wrong?

i called my pediatrician to ask if i should let her sleep and she said no to call her mom. so i called her mom after my mom said not to and my mom started screaming at me but if i were her mom i would want to know everything that happened. when i called her mom she just said ooh ok just keep rolling her around as she sleeps and she asked if there were any marks on her and i said no shes fine so she said ok...thanks for calling her.

its almost time for her to eat ..if she wants to sleep after than again should i let her?

i feel sooo guilty...her mom trusts her with me and i let this happen..im soooooo stupid.
