I don't think you have anything to be worried about. My daughter only has one bowel movement a day and my doctor says its perfectly normal. Some babies have one bowel movement a week. Every baby is different.

When you need to be concerned is if your baby stops having wet diapers. This normally is a telltale sign of your baby not getting enough nutrition or fluids.

When my baby was breastfeed she would have from 2-4 BM. When I stopped breastfeeding it was only 1a day. Now that she is starting to eat Gerber she has from 2-4 BM. It's weird how it just changes. Don't worry!!

All babies are different.....my baby poops once, SOMETIMES twice a day...totally normal.

mine only goes once every few days, my MD states this is very normal, some go once a day or more, some only every few days. Make sure wet diapers though, that is how you know the baby is getting enough fluid.

My doc said the same thing dlhudson's did - that sometimes it can be a day or two between BMs. They said not to worry until they go a week without one - I'd be freaking out if it was that long! My girls went about 2 days a time or two, but now it is a couple of times a day. (Of course, they are eating solids now.) You don't have anything to worry about as long as there are still a bunch of wet diapers.

Don't worry, mine only went every 3-5 days before he started solid foods. Then it went to once or twice a day. As long as he's not constipated, it's quite normal.
