I am still mad the events are nit on six channels so I can actually see things, like the nlind Korean archer who set a record....bleeping NBC only showing highlights at night, booo!

OK, I will say that the Quen is elderly, maybe she was having a senior moment? Like, how many Olympics has this woman seen from the Queen Box? Fifteen?

Again lost my interest when drug testing and the whole doping scandals came into play. For the life of me I don't understand why any city would want to spend all the money it takes to have the Olympics.

They have a problem with her "picking at her nails"? How about how she was like the only dignitary that did not acknowledge the athletes from her country in some manner when they entered the stadium? Others stood up, smiled, clapped, et al...but nothing from Queen Elizabeth. Then again, I'm sure it was well past her bed time, so maybe she was tired and cranky by then and perhaps being there was eating into her allotted nail care regimen time. It was a long ceremony after all...

Course, the actual thing was not nearly as long as the bloated NBC coverage of it. If I may rant for a second - NBC decided to tape delay the ceremony for prime time; cut out actual goings on from the ceremony for commercials and an unnecessary Michael Phelps interview; and allowed their commentators to talk over segements so you couldn't hear what was going on (and was it just me or did the parade of nations feel like they were describing the floats and balloons in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade?). Is there any other offense I missed regarding that hot mess of a show?

By the way, Leo, I feel your pain. I noticed today there was Olympic tennis on Bravo. Strange pairing that is...but anyway, I happen to have DirectTV and I noticed while on the channel that they have an Olympic guide via the red button, so when I'm on an NBC afflitated channel (though not on NBC, ironically), I can access the guide and see what sport is on what channel and when and also the medal count and other Olympic news. If you happen to have Direct TV, then that'd be a good way to help find what you're looking to watch. If you don't have it though, I'm afraid you' might be SOL.
