When I was in college I came to understand just how badly Native American's were treated in the past. I don't believe they are treated so great today either.

Well book lover... how about Dee Browns book Bury My Heart At Wounded knee? That might be a good choice for the first book club read? My Loewen quoted in that video wrote a very interesting book called Lies My Teacher Taught Me... you might be interested to read a bit of truth concerning Columbus and the great Spanish "Explorers." History isnt worth much when its not the truth.

We get History written by the winners. We could use a little more of that written by the losers.

Neither is the truth. The clash of the two might produce some truth, but there is no such thing as an objective reporter.

We cannot change our past. We can only act justly today to insure peace for our tomorrows.
