Over The Fence Community Group
A quote from one of our happy Over The Fence members: "Hi JS- Thank you for the welcome message. Do you remember that show Home Improvement and the neighbor Wilson Wilson Jr. who would meet Tim the Tool Man at the fence, but never showed anything but his eyes? He was so funny. This group reminds me of those encounters... you get the wisdom, humor, and support from your DS...

This will all be right here on the OTFN Discussion Board each link again or to skip it if you are not interested in that . All we ask is only for your telling us about it in your replies!. Tell us what you liked doing & learning about. What is exciting to you ? What facts did you enjoy most? Remember we are all in this together and we will all be going as a group - How exciting is that ?!!
We will discover everything that is possible about the basis of our field trips from the very beginning as it began to exist to the present time.. You all can help add to the fun by adding extra web sites that I may have missed.on your replies as well!
Field trip #1 is to The Grand Canyon
I am presently researching from prehistoric times of how it was formed all the way through to the present time such as an actual fabulous donkey ride down the mountainside ( now if you don't like heights you may want to skip this web site!) This field trip will be informative and exciting to those who love to learn & discover facts that you may not have known prior to going there if you did or things to keep in mind if you ever do get the opportunity.
For those of you who have already been to The Grand Canyon i would appreciate high light suggestions not to miss or those of you who are still looking forward to going there eventually what would you really like to find out about ...Like someone i talked to earlier about this said, "This has always been on my bucket list!"
Field trip #2 will be a hot-air balloon excursion. i am now taking your suggestions for field trip # 3 ... Where in the world would you like to go ?
Luncheons, etc.
Luncheons, picnics, dinner parties, tea parties - what have you! We are only limited by our own imaginations and all available online locations, restaurant menus, and web sites. Let me hear all of your ideas - nothing is too crazy ,wild, or elegant!
We will "go" to these places via internet, peruse the location and/or the menu, decide what to order as if you were to actually order and discuss the impressions you had while visiting that site on a thread on DS Over The Fence Neighborhood initially and then offsite after.
It will be a load of fun & learning! Your comments are going to really boost the experience!
IN THE FUTURE -
The Newsletter
The TGNC newsletter will be made available to read and personally down load as a print out at our offsite website that our Good Neighbor Club Admin is building and maintaining.
This is a work in progress which is presently being delayed by complications in my computer accessing the software. Just as soon as these things are in place I can begin producing the newsletter. Since it is member-driven - submissions can begin immediately just as soon as the web site is established and the members have officially joined TGNC.
This means you may help to build the newsletter each time by contributing ideas, suggestions, comments, jokes, personal experiences. poems & other personal contributions.
Submissions will be directed to the email address at the website when ready. The address will be given at that time to TGNC members only.
(Offsite location activities
If Daily Strength had group chat or the possibility of word publishing or importing graphics there would be no need for offsite locations. However, that is why I have chosen to extend those to you. There is no connection or endorsement, sponsorship or affiliation of the Daily Strength organization to any offsite websites, etc. posted here on OTFN anymore than there is to YouTube, Google, or any other Internet connections that are given within other threads normally posted on the Discussion Board. The same as you would list a song or link or movie trailer.)
The Good Neighbor Club began in October !
The Good Neighbor Club has been developing since October when it was mentioned to some of our Good Neighbors previously! My health & my computer's health has delayed explaining to all of you Good Neighbors. I expect it to be in full swing soon! (My computer has had problems) In the meantime this gives us time to get organized

I recently heard a great 2007 song the other day, "Falling Slowly" because it popped up in my newsfeed, accompanied by the sad news that the male singer, Glen Hansard, just died in a motorcycle accident. I learned that the song won an award and was featured in an indie movie called Once. I just watched it, and it's really good. They made it in 3 weeks on a $100,000 budget. It's streaming on...

I shoulda said "burro" (Wong size) I will try to be more accurate in the future! Fortunately, most of the info you will be getting will be provided for with the websites. The burro-ride is actually someone who rode down the mountainside on a burro with a video camera mounted right on themselves. So it will be a virtual trip down the mountainside just as real as if you did it yourself !
I plan on perusing many differnet sites of the same thing & coming up with the best of the best pick to make your fleld trip the best that can be!!
