Over The Fence Community Group
A quote from one of our happy Over The Fence members: "Hi JS- Thank you for the welcome message. Do you remember that show Home Improvement and the neighbor Wilson Wilson Jr. who would meet Tim the Tool Man at the fence, but never showed anything but his eyes? He was so funny. This group reminds me of those encounters... you get the wisdom, humor, and support from your DS...
He had been sick for awhile, sad to see, he was very charismatic. Created that I-phone? Or I should say, his company created it.
HERE this is also interesting about eh MAN !!

He has changed your life and that of posterity forever. Listen to the story of his experience in his own words:

His parting words? "Stay hungry ; Stay foolish."
(I too had a copy of the Whole Earth Catolog that he speaks of in his address with this quote on the back.)

(I am disappointed at the reaction& lack of tribute to this post. This man changed our lives forever! He believed in his destiny! He had "the impossible dream" and he did it! He trudged on in the midst of disbelief and insisted they get it right before it went out! He made his success! He didn't make excuses ~ He made his way!)

"Y'ALL wouldn't even be talkin to each other on this DS if it wasn't for the phenomenal STEVE JOBS !!!"
Is... well.. just a bit over the top. I was talking to people on a computer long before Apple soldered their first circuit board. A HAM friend of mine was heavy into teletype (TTY) and we ran his ham radio from my homemade computer. True, 55 baud is so slow you can read the letters as the screen refreshes, but it was exciting. Ad soon we were all the way up to a 300 baud BizComp modem. So, was Steve an inovator, you bet. One of the best. Was he tenacious, most assuredly, but let's don't make him larger in death than he was in life.
I believe that even with all the acolades toned down to realistic levels, the world has lost one of it's greatest assets, in the person of Steve Jobs. R.I.P my techno-friend, and may we all be blessed thru your heart, as well as your mind.
THIS IS NOT SOMETHING I MADE UP. YOU CAN LOOK IT UP. HISTORY WILL REMEMBER STEVEN JOBS, AND OUR WORLD IS CHANGED FOREVER BECAUSE OF HIS LIFE WORK. MAY HE SLEEP IN PEACE. \
MY GRATITUDE FOR HIS LIFE WILL LIVE AS LONG AS I DO.
Well y'all made me feel a lot happier for responding to pay tribute to a 'fervent man with a plan' (Can we just say that?) I know it was a lot of reading but I am a reader and enthusiast of determined people.
And, yes, I get all choked-up with esteemed admiration with each clip & each video I read & continue to read (don't forget my journalism degree is in newspaper reporting so I gotta drag it out for all that it's worth) ..Besides, they say stroke-victims, we cry easily!
Perhaps I over-reacted a bit when I became under-whelmed by the lack of enthusiasm to my post for that I offer my apology, tG, (Gosh - I miss you! And y'all were a long time comin) I do tend to get a bit excited when I get riled. But , you see, that is just the Irish Dander welling up in me - My thorn in my side I have had to deal with all my life!
But that's just me. And I get 'all-carried-away' by an inspiring MAN !! And, one other thing you can count on always - I AM Over - the - TOP ~ THAT is why I am ME !!

Amazon forest being chewed to shreds; many plants and species never even cataloged. We are truly a pack of fools as a race of beings.
