I think the year was 1983 or 1985 Aid for Africa We Are The World Way too many artists for me to remember but many many great ones. Although it was a horrid tragedy that happened to Africa the goodness from the many artists- -all pro bono - -Lionel Ritchie and Micheal Jackson wrote the lyrics, Quincy Jones donated the recording studio plus directed and produced it. Hearing it time after time just makes me proud to be a citizen of the USA. However, must say that artists from other countries also arrived to donate their time and talents to the cause. But now, the technical part of where to go to in order to hear it I do not know. But I just betcha you have to turn your speakers up when you hear the first opening notes.
