Well I may be interested-I do belong to a book club on Ds but activity is slow, kinda inactive many times

I have never been a member of a book club but have gone to book club discussions at my library

Don't know about being admin-LOL my name may fit tho'
but am definitely interested in participating

I love books. I love to get lost in them and go into a different world. I think You will have to do a range of books. For example crime, love, history etc. So that everyone can get involved and also try a new book.

Non fiction, too. I am reading "The Invisible Partners", an analysis of a Jungian concept of the Psyche.

I enjoy authors like Martina Cole. I get lost in her books. I also enjoy true stories as well. I am also a star Trek fan so I like reading those books too. That book sounds interesting bobcj. What is it about?

Just thought maybe you could have a list of say three books and then you have a vote. The one with the most votes gets chosen as the book to read. Instead of one person choosing the books.

i agree, lets vote on books from a list... count me in.

I just thought that it would be better this way then you will not have someone choosing books that they want to read. It will be fair and will help everyone get involved and not feel left out.

I hope we will have a range of books to choose from. Also we need to think things like how people are going to get the book? will we wait till everyone has the book to start reading? How long do we get to read the book?

We are getting some where now... hope we can get a few more interested readers to join. I am also hoping we can read and then have a short discussion about some of the important points the book show cased.

choice of books is a good idea - for example, i can't read horror, i.e. stephen king, they give me nightmares, so if that was the book i'd have to unhappily pass. i just got word a book i've been looking for is coming my way - the little world of don camillo yippee!! i LOVE those books. not for everyone i suppose but i read them in highschool and adore them but they're collector's items now if they're hardcovers =( but i belong to paperbackswap and someone had a copy in paperback and is sending it to me. it's a good source for books - you post 10, receive credits and only pay the postage for books you mail to those who request ones you've posted, it's usually about $2.50 via media mail. i don't use it much anymore but i have a wish list and this is the second time a don camillo book has 'found' me =)
