Dont care for olympics so I dont watch em

I've been watching here and there. I'm not particularly fond of how NBC's been showing them though. I've bypassed most of the night stuff since by the time it's all shown, the results have already been scrolled on all the sports channels and even in the local news reports and NBC tends to throw in a lot of filler at night in between events and put all the more exciting stuff on late. I'd rather just check Sportscenter for the highlights.

I did watch a lot of the tennis because I like to watch tennis. I was quite happy to see Andy Murray win. Serena too - she was fierce. It helped that a lot of it was shown on Bravo and they didn't have the channel jumping to different events like the main network and some of the others have been.

Because NBC jumps around so much, it's like you get bits of everything but never all of one thing during the day. The other day they went from water polo to synchronized swimming to track races to equestrian to diving in the matter of a few hours. So even if you kept it on all day you still get bits of everything but never all of one thing.

I have to say that I am with Dreamer, I feel that it is a big-who is better contest that does nothing to promote a connection with other countries, like it is a way to say ha ha look at us we are number 1. That is just how I see it. I used to watch them but now really just don't care.

I also prefer winter sports...where NDY lives is south of where I grew up, and Senor Snow ran the show half the year! But I did wnjoy watching what I could, always do, for the enjoyment of sports. And woot to all the athletes who made it there!

I think I watched more of the Olympics this time around than I ever have. Some of it was really compelling. Didn't care for NBC's coverage though. That was an epic fail.

I did enjoy the closing ceremonies - for the most part they were a lot of fun. I was up and dancing along to the Spice Girls and Fatboy Slim and the Bee Gees tribute even though it was a bit weird. Also found the John Lennon "Imagine" tribute and Take That's performance of "Rule The World" to be especially touching. I would've liked to have seen it online instead of the tv coverage if I could have since NBC cut so much out but that wasn't an option for me on Sunday. But all in all, it was a still good show in spite of how they covered it.

When performance enhancing drugs came into play I tuned out of the Olympics.
