Going to the store for my disabled friend makes him happy and me happy :)

I take a 'borrowed ' shopping cart, put a plastic picnic cloth in it and after a good dying of baking, distribute free dessert after dinner on Sundays to the other residents in the senior hi rise where I live!

Because I ended up with leftovers last week, I put sign up sheet on our bulletin board today citing St. Francis of Asissi, "It is in giving that you truly receive." I hope I will have lots of apts to calling on THIS Sunday. (We are having Tiramusu and White French Vanilla Fruit CakeCobbler.

Some can no longer do for themselves, don't care to, or would have too much leftover to do for themelves!!

Though my granddaughter is away at college (Freshman), she calls me daily. I listen to her ups and downs of college life. This pleases her. I think she's adjusting now. Smile.

I always ask my mom who lives with us (she is 70) if I can do anything for her. She usually says no,b ut I let her know I am always there in case it will be Yes. ANd that makes her very happy b/c she knows we care.

I stay away from them !!!!

I am putting together a Bible Study for the building based on the Scripturel Readings for our Sunday mass. It is open to all Christians & other interested parties. It will be weekly and a nice activity for all to come together.

Of course there will be refreshments afterwards & "take homes" if there are extras!

I apparently have a way of speaking that makes people laugh. Not my accent, but how I phrase things. I guess having Polish Mom and Hillbilly Dad has led to some intersting speech patterns. I don't do it on purpose but people do crack up, so hey, that's me spreading laughter.... DOes that count?

I have 50 people in my building signed up now for "Door-to-Door Dessert" and I love it!!!

Hey, NDY, I think I talk like anyone from P-burgh-Kittaning way, but I guess not. Even back-homers say I put things funny. Wish I knew how I do it, I'd go make money as a comic!

I wanted to add, I try to remember to warn people if my day is going poorly, so that they know I am not upset with them.

I also have a 5 in 1 printer/copier/scanner/FAX/initernet capability (Wi-Fi) I share free with my neighbors. You can also borrow my sweeper. And, as a literacy tutor, I can help fill out your paperwork or download / email for you!

Bet if you look around, there is something you can do for others too - Not only does I it feel good to do things for others but God will bless you too!

I am not good for myself, or anyone, at this time..sorry

68 cupcakes - that is what I delivered "door-to-door" last week... Our Bible study has swelled to 22 now.. we have a party with our "Unseen Guest" each week. Rememer He said, "Where 2 or 3 of you are gathered, there will I be in your midst."

We party after every meeting... I cook a complete dinner for 20 with all the trimmings each week - (I LOVE to spoil these people!!)

HE is there ALL the time - for YOU too and especially you Argus. He is particularly there for the brokenhearted!!
