My Friend told me to rub Vapo Rub into the cuticle bed of my toenail to rid myself of toenail fungus !! Does it work?? Has anyone ever tried IT ? PLS - Tell the world - OTFN minds want to KNOW !!

NDY- vapor rub will work if you are consistent! Clean the toe nail with soap and water, apply vapor rub to cover entire area, cover with a clean cotton sock or bandage. It may take several months, but the menthol will help kill the fungus and you may loose the nail but it will be better than taking a bunch of meds. Tea tree oil will also work.

Ginger is good for motion sickness too!

NDY I also heard that Listerine mouth wash works on that too?

Never heard about the vapor rub.

I personally would not recommend using Vapo rub because it has petroleum and turpentine oils in it.

I much healthier and great cure for any type of fungus that can be taken orally or topically is oregano oil. Here is a link: http://www.globalhealingcenter.com/supplements/oregano-oil.html

Oregano Oil should be diluted before it is used topically. Two drops of Oregano Oil should be mixed with a teaspoon of olive oil, or another base oil. The mixture can then be applied directly to the affected toenail. The nail should be treated at least once a day until the infection disappears.
