Have you purchased a television series? You've seen the ads that say you can buy CDs of your favorite t.v. series,,,season 1, 2, et all. If you could afford it, which would you buy? The reason I bring this up is I've seen the ads for series I watch regularly,,most of them not on the major channels and realized that while I enjoy them when they air, I wouldn't want to watch them over and over again. There is one exception,,,Band of Brothers which was a mini series on HBO. For the longest time, I'd watch it when it came on once it was allowed on other channels. Well, I have my oil changed at a locally owned shop and I got to talking with the owner who is a World War II buff. He had the cd's and had made copies for himself and his family. I had some WWII souvenirs my uncle had given me which were stored in a box gathering dust. So, I traded him for the original cd's and can, now enjoy the program any time I want.

I recently heard a great 2007 song the other day, "Falling Slowly" because it popped up in my newsfeed, accompanied by the sad news that the male singer, Glen Hansard, just died in a motorcycle accident. I learned that the song won an award and was featured in an indie movie called Once. I just watched it, and it's really good. They made it in 3 weeks on a $100,000 budget. It's streaming on...
i bought veronica mars, love that show, but it was only on for 3 years. so not much to buy.
they are fun to have as a personal marathon. did that with both. very un-reality to do that, the world is out there, but your entire focus is the show(s).
I would like to buy a few older series for Mom though.
hmm, a gift idea for upcoming holiday.....
