Do you mean "kind/polite" - "mannerly/polite"? Hard to say Barb as my thesaurus begins with "kindness" & ends with "pompous"

To me, polite equates with graciousness. I don't know how to assign that to a culture. Probably the Japanese with their many customs ... Refined Americans through out the country.

IMO that is a really loaded question. When I was homeless. I met many very graciously polite people who were equally polite to me as I tried to be to them under the circumstances.

Standards of courtesy vary. If I burp, I'm in trouble here in the US, but in other nations, it's considered a copmliment to the chef.... I think Canadians are very polite in the please-thank-you sense of having manners.

Manners and Courtesy... The country of Texas comes to mind along with the country folks in the North Georgia mountains.

Definitely the UK too... the English are very nice folks.
