hello there Im the creator of this group..... I havent gotten to that point not sure if I have arthritis in my hips but unfortunately I do in my back (DDD) and arthritis in both ankles & knees the drs wont do a replacement til Im 50 or older I have to wait 8 more yrs as Im only 42.... My fiance on the other hand he had a hip replacement at the begining of the yr because he had only a quarter of the ball joint left hes only 47..... he had no other choice because it was causing him to fall constantly which wasnt a good thing not for just him but just for anyone in his position but the biggest concern not only was because of how little of the ball joint he had left but he had his other hip replaced 8 yrs ago plus he is an amputee of his left leg above the knee sooo... Im not sure what your concerns are cause it seems as thats a big concern but let me tell you its an easy surgery 3 days in the hospital yes theres physical therapy afterwards but itll be easy.... assuming u are better health wise then my fiance which i dont know that about u..... if anything else if youre leary dont hesitate to get a 2nd opinion.... plz feel free to send me a friend request on here & plz feel free to send me a message if you'd like

Thank you Greyhounds92, I truly appreciate your response and apologize for the delay in getting back with you. I am concerned that they will put it in and then in 15 years or so I will have to have it redone. As a breast cancer survivor I am already going to have to do that at some point with my implants and well to me the hip is so much more critical. I have had many surgeries in the past and not all went well so I have a lot of concerns but like I said it is the replacement issue that I have concerns with.
I really do hope and prey that your fiance is doing better and stays healthy. I am also hoping your arthritis is doing ok, the ankles can cause a lot of issues with the areas above so hope you have it under control.
