I've been seeing a gray fog/shadow in my Lt eye for the past week and been feeling disoriented and dizzy. After getting a routine eye exam the doc informed me that I have 20/20 vision and could see nothing wrong after dilating my eyes. Almost 2 days ago I began to feel like my vision on the left was getting worst and I'm having a difficult time reading xrays at work and focusing on the computer screen. Today I saw a retina specialist who ran some tests and informed me that I have histoplasmosis. Now they want to inject my eye with medication that is used to treat cancer but not approved to treat this eye condition. My insurance will most likely not cover although the doc wants to appeal it. I am very health conscious and try to live an all natural lifestyle which includes no meds or chemicals. I make my own deodorant for crying out loud. I don't know what to do I don't want this injection to cause any problems for my body in the future as many meds do. Could the doctor have possibly misdiagnosed me. I don't know how I could have ingested this crazy fungus. I've lived in PA since I was 12 years old and have never had any major health problems and never needed glasses. I need advise please someone help..thank you.
