I went to the eye doctor when I suddenly saw many black floaters out of the blue. Then the doctor found some macular degeneration. So I have been doing research on many eye diseases. I found ocular histoplasmosis very interesting as sudden black spots can be a sign and it can often be misdiagnosed as macular degeneration. I haven't been around chickens much but am wondering if this disease will become much more of a problem since so many people are getting chickens now. I plan on seeing a retinal specialist soon to try to find out more about what is going on.
