Hello my name is Eva and I am 41.
On Dec 15, 2005 I almost died when a fallopian tube ruptured at 8 weeks of my pregnancy.
I was sleeping when it happened so when I woke up I was laying in a pool of my own blood and couldn't move because the pain was so intense in my side.
My mother called the ambulance and they arrived as I kept passing out from the lack of blood flow to my brain. As they told my mom, good thing she called because I was only a few minutes away from death.
So I awoke a week later in ICU and scribbled on a pen and paper "What happened?" and the nurse told me.
When the doctor came in she said bluntly that I would never have any more children and I was crushed. It felt like being stabbed right in the heart.
When I stopped crying my husband arrived. He had been out of town on a construction job and when I told him he started crying. You see, we had wanted a large family. Both of our dreams had blown up in our faces.
A few months later I noticed my belly was not getting smaller but was in fact getting larger! I asked the doc if they were sure I had lost the baby because it felt like I was still pregnant. well, little Jr turned out to become a massive tumor (the size of a basketball) that grew from a piece of fetal tissue that didn't get DNC'd out of me on the operating table Dec 15th. So this forced a full hysterectomy.
I was told this would force me into early menopause and that made me cry my eyes out. I was young and healthy. What the hell happened? Where did I go wrong? and why the hell did it happen to ME?
This time around, fresh with no uterus, I came out hating myself and hating my husband. I kept telling myself if he had not been out of town when this happened I would have been able to save my internal organs!
A few months later I started noticing a bulge when I bent over and sure enough my insides had dropped.
this caused yet another critical surgery resulting in holes being drilled into my legs and plastic mesh (you know the kind that causes cancer now a days) placed inside of me to put my anatomy back together.
I developed severe PTSD and one heart problem after another. I hated myself and I hated my husband and by the time I got home from the hospital my daughter was calling my mother "mommy" which sent me straight through the roof. Later I discovered that she was teaching her to call her that while I was gone.
So one or any of these things could have caused my Chronic Neutropenia and now I am learning to improve my immune system any way that I can.
I use:
Exercise
Home made yogurt
Home made Sauerkraut
The Budwig diet
Sun Gazing
Writing and watercolors as therapy
