The week between Christmas and New Years, I went in to have a painful tumor removed from my side. The doctor actually found several tumors. He was afraid he did not get them all. The incision site is still sore, so now I am afraid that he didn't get them all. I do know he had to go a little deep and had to remove a bit of muscle and fat to get them out. Has anyone had this kind of tumor removed (completely under the skin, not visible on the outside) and how long does it take for everything to heal. There were no stiches on the outside, just some "steri-strips" that took about 3 weeks to fall off, but he said there were quite a few stiches inside and that the bigges problem was going to be the muscles healing. I don't see him again for a couple more weeks. So I guess I will know then, but just wondering if I am being unneccessairly paranoid.
if there is no discolouration everything is probably ok, it is just your body adjusting to now having a piece of itself cut out.
if you are really concerned, he should be able to see you before your scheduled appointment.
i had a breast lift done and had the scars and stitches everywhere, i was super paranoid and called him almost every day

The Dr. had to go into the muscle tissue, it did take a while to heal and was sore long after.
